I am excited as a very excited person about a very exciting thing!

England all the way! Provided we don't have to go to penalties!

I was going to say that up till last week, that we would do well but I am now not so sure. The whole JT affair will put a big dent in the team unity /sprit.

Will I be watching all the games I can. Yep

Teams I think will do well - Brazil, Spain, England, Argentina, Germany and Italy. But there are a number of others that have potential to do well if they don't blow up like Holland.

Players that I will be watching - Christiano Ronaldo, Rooney, Messi, kaka

I unfortunately will have to attend to get my yearly dose of lovebomb and BS to keep the wife and MIL happy.

However with a bit of planning, I have one out!

My work doesn't recognise non mainstream religious dates, infact even mainstream ones can go by the wayside if there is money to be made! Plus we do work all over the world so if I play my meetings right i could be "away"!

oops. bugger now that would be a shame!

Another marriage bites the dust thanks to the WT

i've known about this couple for a long time and attended their bible studies on occasions.

susan, the wife, has been having a study with the witnesses on and off for 16 years, (yeah i know, one of very useful wet day pioneer calls where we all bundle round sue's house for coffee and still count the time) the sister whose been studying with them was a sooper -uber pioneer sister with a hard-line and total society view on everything.

sue's husband keith has always been polite and interested in what his wife was learning but he loved his beer, fags and christmas too much to take it seriously.. finally a few months ago susan caves in to the pressure from uber-sister christine and wants to get baptized.

for the those on the north american side of the pond he doesn't have and leaning for for his fellow man. fags = cigarettes.

One of the mother in law's friends, could literally be put in to this story as susan. Of course I heard it from the JW viewpoint which was that he being an RC was a spritual endangerment to her!

Part of the being an NGO is that even before you become linked with the UN, you have to promote the UN and its works.

I am not sure how quoting UN and WHO (world health organisation which is a part of the un) statistics is promoting the UN, but it does seem funny that the WTS is quoting stats from a group that they have deemed "a front for satan!"

If we evolved..why in big sudden steps and not gradually?

ok so if we adapted and evolved then we would have a lot of evidence of our predecessors right?

and not only a couple of hard to identify skeletons, why havent we found hundreds of bones, bones or remains of tribes of our predecessors?

why such big steps in evolution and not gradaully evolving steps?

The evolution of man has been going on for some time. Just in the last 100 years the average height of males and females has increased. You might not notice it but we are always evolving.

i don't have a certain set of beliefs yet i still hope there is a god and contrary to what some have assumed, i'm not an agnostic or athiest (yet)..

Your right quitting is hard.

I enjoy the odd cigar, at the this moment in time I am sitting on my back porch with my laptop, watching my dogs zoom round the garden and having a drink. I rarely get days to myself with virtually nothing to do so I am going to enjoy it.

No one else is suffering my smoke and I have zero intention of going anywhere today unless I can walk.

Are you a poker player? Right now I am $300 up, I flopped a nut flush and some one at the table is betting hard despite me checking and calling him........
